Young Seema (Ranjeeta Kaur) loves hanging out with a friendly boy in her neighbourhood named Rajesh (Mithun Chakraborty). While the two share an honest bond of friendship, another boy Sanjay (Vinod Mehra) also wishes to befriend Seema, but his rowdy attitude angers her. The three of them get separated when their region is hit by floods. Upon growing up years later, Seema is reunited with Rajesh and much to her delight, her grandmother arranges their marriage. But on the day of her wedding, another woman arrives with a child in her arms, claiming to be Rajesh’s wife.
