Kuhu is a family drama portraying the love knit bond among two daughters and a father where Kuhu the youngest one questions the illogical traditional restrictions on menstruating girls during religious performances. She being a Krishna devotee debates with her elder sister for not being permitted to enjoy her moral right of worship. With the sudden demise of her father both the daughters defy the age old hackneyed custom and perform the last rites.
