After the sudden demise of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964, Pakistan plotted against India, aiming at taking control of the disputed territory of Jammu & Kashmir. This led to the India-Pakistan war in 1965. In this documentary, Major General GD Bakshi takes us to Asal Uttar, Punjab – the battleground of one of the world's fiercest tank battles and the key turning point that turned the tide of war in India's favour. He recounts the incidents leading to the war while analyzing Pakistan's Operation Gibraltar which was designed to infiltrate their forces into Jammu and Kashmir and India's military response to counter which ended after a United Nations mandated cease fire.
