Maharaj Vikram Singh rewards his Senapati Sangram Singh with a crown and kingdom of his own after Sangram Singh saves his life on the battlefield. They seal their friendship with a promise that Vikram Singh's newborn daughter Anuradha will marry Sangram Singh's son Pratap when they come of age. Years later, Anuradha is sent to visit Prince Pratap to approve of him as her husband. But Anuradha, a fiesty young woman, is sceptical of Pratap Singh and insists on going alone. On her way, she switches place with her maid-servant so that she can assess the worth of her betrothed on her own by finding out what the common people really think of him. Problem arises when the maid-servant posing as Anuradha gets abducted and Pratap is informed about the mishap.
