The story revolves around Dinesh Prakash (Mithun Chakraborty), a young Executive Director of a company. On the day of his birthday, Dinesh is apprehended and held on charges of attempted sexual assault. The person to file an FIR against him is a telephone operator in his company, named Poonam (Mallika Sarabhai). Dinesh's wife, Manisha (Moon Moon Sen) is appalled after hearing of his arrest. Initially, she shuns her husband and refuses to believe he might be innocent, but later, she decides to dig deeper into the matter and unravels the truth. The matter is finally sorted in court. Did Dinesh really commit the crime?
