Shankara Punyakoti is a Kannada social movie, directed by G.Murthy. The cast of Shankara Punyakoti includes Sarath Babu,Vinaya Prasad. The movie traces the highs and the downfall of priest Shankaracharya, caused mainly due to his naivete and the machinations of his sister. Things turn worse after she abandons Shankaracharya’s newborn in the forest and claims that the baby was a deformed mass. Meanwhile, the baby is rescued and brought up by people who are treated as untouchables
