Neelanjana' is the story of Neel and Anjana. Neel sets out to murder Anjana but murders her aunt instead. While trying to escape he meets with an accident and loses his memory. Anjana treats him and both of them fall in love. OC Pratap Dutta is in love with Anjana. His investigations reveal that Neel who is renamed Gopal after losing his memory had gone to kill Anjana. But, Anjana thinks he's jealous. She marries Neel. Pratap finds out that Neel's girlfriend Urmi had morphed his photo with Anjana to cancel his wedding with Mr. Abinash's daughter. Mr. Abinash refused to give money for Neel's sister's wedding after getting the photo. Neel's mother and sister committed suicide and his father became mad. Neel overhears the truth after regaining his memory. He and Urmi both are punished by law. After they're released Urmi gets married to Pratap and Neel unites with Anjana to lead a happy life.
