Anuradha is an orphan who loves a boy named Kishore. But indebted to her mentor Gupta, she agrees to marry his son Raj. Meanwhile, Raj marries a young woman named Usha and brings her home. After some initial resistance, Gupta also accepts Usha as his daughter-in-law. What Gupta does not know is that Usha has married Raj only to inherit his wealth.
