Major Sodhi (Amitabh bachchan) attempts to kill the Indian Home Minister but a bullet proof jacket saves the man’s life. Now the police are on his chase. Major Sodhi stages his own death, assumes the identity of ‘Devraj’ and begins to live a commoner’s life in Mumbai. Major Ajit (Patekar) is sent in the guise of a journalist to dig out the truth and expose Devraj. But once Ajit learns why Major Sodhi attempted to kill the minister, he joins hands with the major. What are these men up to?
