Shalini, the daughter of a jailer comes to visit her father, who is responsible for looking after convicts undergoing sentences of rigorous imprisonment. Shalini is a poet and once she meets young poet Amar there, who introduces himself as poet himself. Shalini and Amar are attracted to each other, and now she wants to find out why Amar is in jail.
