Inspector Jai arrests Guman Singh only to release him before any progress could be made as several blasts take place in the city. Jai is not only forced to release Guman but also to resign from his police job. The gang then makes Jai's mentally challenged brother, who Jai considers jaan se pyaara, a target by holding him as a hostage until Jai delivers a briefcase containing confidential information about the gang.
