Too ensure that his popularity remains intact, Bollywood superstar Suhaan (Salmaan Khan) pretends to be unmarried, and ultimately separates from his wife Pia (Preity Zinta), which leaves her deeply hurts. When Suhaan's film flops, he tries to return to the life he had before, but Pia has already filed for divorce. A year later, Pia demands a hefty alimony. Knowing that he wouldn't have to pay alimony if Pia remarries, he convinces Pia's simpleton college friend, Agastya Rao (Akshay Kumar), that he can still marry his college crush. Suhaan then puts all his efforts in helping Agastya woo Pia, but do things go as per his plans?
