Hamidabai Ki Kothi is a Hindi play starring Himani Shivpuri, Amruta Subhash, Ganesh Yadav, Jitendra Jaiswal, Manuj Sharma, Rahul Kumar, Rasika Dugal and Sandesh Kulkarni. Hamidabai, a spirited artist of the dying kothi tradition, is determined to not let the demands of popular culture corrupt her establishment, despite societal and financial pressure. Even her educated daughter Shabbo is forced to return to an empty and almost bankrupt business, much to Hamidabai’s dismay. Will Shabbo be able to regain the kothi’s pride or will she listen to her husband and turn it into a brothel?
