Dil aur Mohabbat is a 1968 action drama starring Joy Mukherjee, Sharmila Tagore, Ashok Kumar and others. A widower police officer brings up his son alone. He sends him to college in Bombay. When he himself gets a transfer to Bombay he is delighted and asks his son to pick him up from the station. The son doesn't show up but the father sees his picture in the newspaper as wanted in a murder case. He tries to reach his son before the city police do. But soon the son is accused of another murder.
