A newspaper editor gets killed just when he is about to expose links between the underworld and an influential person. He calls his friend, Inspector Shekhar (Dev Anand), to talk about the threats he has been receiving. But he dies by the time Shekhar arrives. Now, Shekhar must uncover the mystery and expose the murderers. But as he delves deeper into the web of crime, he becomes a victim of a villainous ploy that leaves him jobless, getting framed for murder and arrested by the police. Will Shekhar be able to free himself from this web?
